Intro. to Woodworking: Vintage Inspired Fruit Crates
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
Every rustic or vintage home decorator needs a few antique inspired fruit crates. Instead of paying top dollar at an antique store, learn how to make your own from reclaimed wood. Utilizing basic hand and power tools, the class will execute a simple crate design. Collin Garrity, local woodworker, will introduce the class to basic woodworking tools including pull saws, miter saw and boxes, power drills, and hammer and nails. Participants will also use shaping tools such as files, chisels, and planes. Fruit crates are not only decorative, but make for a great storage option, either alone or stacked together!
With any woodworking project, it takes time to become proficient, but this is a great project to help you dive into multiple planning and building skills!
