Arts & DIY
Create a custom plant stand that shows off some St. Louis history! In this class, you’ll learn basic woodworking skills and cut and assemble an elevated wood frame to support two St. Louis bricks. Use the stand to show off your favorite plant, as the bricks will act as the perfect base for any pot!
This project was created as a part of a community design project for A Way, Away (Listen While I Say) by Chicago-based artists Amanda Williams and Andres L. Hernandez. A Way, Away was a continuation of PXSTL, a series of design-build commissions organized by the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.
