MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Dr. Brittany has wanted to help children and families even before she attended college. Her first experience with chiropractic was when she was 16 years old. What she didn’t know at the time was that it happened to be at one of the leading pediatric chiropractic offices in the world.

While Dr. Brittany sought out chiropractic care because of an injury she sustained during cheerleading, she quickly found out that chiropractic was so much more than pain. The education she received on how chiropractic directly impacts the nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) correlated well with the subjects that interested her in school. It also served as the missing link for many of the problems she experienced growing up–allergies, anxiety, chronic colds, trouble breathing–it all got better under chiropractic care.

Not only was the office experience the best in its industry, but it also was the first time Dr. Brittany saw children in a clinic setting outside of pediatrician. Because of this, she decided to major in kinesiology major and minor in chemistry at Winona State University.

After 3 years at Winona, she transferred to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. As the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer provided great resources for history and philosophy both on and off campus. Dr. Brittany was an active member of the Pediatric’s Club and a Leader of the Torque Release Technique Club (a gentle and specific technique that efficiently retrains your nervous system). She started her pediatric training outside of school through a program called Epic Pediatrics. This program offered guidance on pediatric adjusting, education, and care planning.

During her last trimester at Palmer, Dr. Brittany returned to the pediatric office where it all began for an internship. At PWC Chiropractic in Crystal Lake, IL, Dr. Brittany worked alongside leaders in pediatric care. She gained knowledge and experience with adjusting babies that were just hours old; connecting with and caring for children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodevelopmental challenges; and pregnant mothers. Miracles took place every day in that office and she can’t wait to continue the trend with the Austin community.

Dr. Brittany is certified in The Webster Technique and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Her commitment and passion for this profession are what set her apart. She’s always looking for the most up-to-date information and techniques to ensure you receive a top-of-the-line experience.
