Event Overview

This course is for people interested in learning how to generate ideas. The course will cover the process of creating a large amount of business ideas, verifying which ones are worth pursuing, and creating a model for making money off them. This course will have three parts taught once a week:

6/24/15 / 3pm-5pm - The Ideation Process

This class will focus on how to go from nothing to a handful of creative business ideas in a very time efficient manner. We will cover the concepts and processes of ideation and practice them in both an individual and team environment.

7/1/15 / 3pm-5pm - Screening Ideas

This class will focus on how to determine the value of the business ideas created earlier. This will cover the basics of market analysis (a little math, but nothing complicated), how to determine the value proposition of each idea, and the most effective methods of getting feedback from potential customers.

7/8/15 / 3pm-5pm - The Business Model Canvas

This class will focus on one of the viable ideas screened from the last class. We will cover the business model canvas and how each part of it works together to turn a good idea into a profit making venture.

Students who attend each part in the series will leave with the knowledge to create a viable business idea from scratch and determine the next steps needed to put it into action.
