Event Overview
Typography nerds and letter lovers! This class is for you! Hand Lettering 101 is a great introductory class to get started turning your own hand writing into beautiful, written art.
The class starts with a brief history of typography, the basic rules and guidelines for creating font-like type, as well as an introduction to brush calligraphy. During the class, we'll use chalk pencils, pens, and watercolor paint. You'll have the opportunity to make an 8x10 watercolor quote print to take home along with 2 pens.
You'll leave knowing how to make block letters, cursive "calligraphy-style" text, and use multiple mediums for your unique hand lettering style!
Please note, this is not a calligraphy class.

She loves teaching people how to make things that bring delight to a room, fill a mailbox, and bring people together through paper. In this class, she'll show you how to transform your own hand writing into lettering art!

This was such a wonderful experience! Sarah really knows her stuff. Her love for hand lettering truly shines through from the second you step into the class to the moment you walk out the door. She creates a full experience and does a great job of covering the basics while also catering to more advanced students. Sarah came to the workshop highly prepared with a "hand lettering 101 packet" and quality supplies for her students. I was very impressed and would highly recommend this dabble course to friends and family alike.
