Event Overview
Besides a fun, bonding experience with your four-legged family member, dog agility is becoming one of the fastest growing dog sports in the last century. Agility can become a physical and mental outlet for your active dog in a constructive manner, as well as bring out confidence in a shy or timid dog. Besides the benefits to your dog, the handler (you) will learn about better communication with your dog as it relates to general dog behavior through this sport.
In this one time offering class, we will introduce your dog to the agility equipment and provide an overview of what agility is all about. This is an indoor facility with state-of-the-art equipment and flooring in a climate controlled environment.
What to Bring
Dog, sneakers, soft treats for dog to give in small portions, flat collar, leash (2-3'),

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
As an active AKC agility competitor and previous elementary teacher, Mercy has been teaching introductory agility lessons at the largest agility facility in the St Louis region, Dog Sports at Kim's. She was a multi-national champion in the horse show circuit, winning the high point horse award in 2005. Her understanding of how to teach the learner in a simple and scaffolding manner makes her classes fun and never overwhelming.
