Event Overview
Learn the basics about contour drawing, a fun and challenging way to draw.
Basics: You can't look at the drawing while you're drawing... so no pressure on the final outcome! Some are better than others!!!
Bring an item you would like to draw, and share with others... it could even be a shoe, a bowling pin, a flower, etc.... and a few mirrors will also be provided for self portraits. Time will be spent doing brief introductions, a short demo, and the majority of the time will be spent drawing. This will be nothing but fun, so leave your reservations at the door.
No pressure if you have great drawing skills or not. This class is about learning a new way to draw, or practicing your skills. Materials provided: charcoal, graphite, erasers, paper, mirrors. If you'd like to bring your own sketchbook or paper or drawing supplies you're welcome to do that too. The exact type and size of paper have not yet been chosen; if you have suggestions, comments or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me: rebecca[at]alicebluecollective.com

Rebecca was a great teacher, she had all the supplies we needed, also had extra art materials we could try out, pastels, charcoal sticks, etc. Also we could draw on newsprint and a sketch pad. She explained how contour drawing was done, and we started drawing. It was fun and challenging, getting out of your comfort zone. She gave advice on how to improve in a nice way, no pressure just fun. I would say go for it!
