Event Overview
Growing your own food can be tons of fun... until nature starts throwing problems your way. Come out to start learning how to tell the good bugs from the bad ones, and how to manage them both.
This on-farm class will offer students the opportunity to view techniques of pest & disease management at work in the fields. We will find and identify common problem pests on the property, discuss beneficial pollinators, and learn methods of controlling bugs organically. You'll receive an informative handout and get to explore out 14 acre property in search of midsummer crop problems. Plus you can bring your questions to our experienced farm staff.
