Event Overview

THIS IS IDENTICAL TO OUR FIRST GARDEN CLASS, THERE WILL BE OTHER MORE-ADVANCED CLASSES COMING SOON.

We had so much fun during our first class, and we wanted to give more people the opportunity to learn the basics of getting a garden growing so we're doing it again!

As part of the Sprouthood + Dabble series of food education classes, this class will help you learn how to grow more food. We offer other classes on food-preservation and herbal medicine as well. Check our Dabble page for other current offerings!

If you are ready to start gardening again, or are new to gardening altogether, this is the class for you. We have a veteran urban farmer and gardener ready to demonstrate the first steps for any gardener.

Topics of discussion:
*Garden planning
*Garden and soil prep
*Soil testing
*Raised-bed construction
*Container gardening
*Seed Starting

We will be meeting outside in a garden, so please dress comfortably.
Bring a notebook if you like, we'll have some handouts and worksheets as well as some refreshments. Feel free to BYOB.

We really enjoyed the class. They made starting a garden seem like a reasonable project for a beginner.
