Event Overview

Bees are not optional. They are essential to the human food supply, and responsible for one in three bites of food we take. Since the late 1940's though, bee populations have been in decline. This workshop will provide an introduction to bees, bee and human interactions, and what to do to make the world more hospitable to bees. Please bring your curiosity to a discussion of avoiding biocides, providing habitat, and planting pollen and nectar sources.

The class was very informative, provided a lot of information about native bees and pollen sources. Jenny's passion for the subject was reflected in the class and her personal connection to the subject made for an enjoyable afternoon.
