Event Overview

Join Michael Max at the Healing Arts Center to gain a better understanding of how to use your body’s own resources for avoiding and treating flu and the common cold. This class covers an overview of the Chinese Medicine perspective on colds and flu, and how to use these concepts to more easily weather the cold and flu season.

This class is recommended to anyone that wants to use natural remedies to avoid and treat the common cold.

Attendees will learn:
Important information about viruses
Cold and hot conditions and how to treat them
Reasons why over the counter medicines can be problematic for some people
Medicine that is in their kitchen such as ginger, cinnamon, and green onions
Common acupuncture points that help

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Michael Max has a masters in Psychology and he finished his Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Training in 1998. Since then he has continued to train and develop his skills in acupuncture, Chinese herbs, bodywork, cupping, and other natural healing methods. He is the current Director at Yong Kang Chinese Medicine Clinic, and also is available for services at the Healing Arts Center.
