Event Overview
Electricity is scary, but it doesn't have to be. With this class you'll learn basic home wiring skills of testing and changing out simple devices like outlets and switches, and adding devices to an existing power supply. We'll look at what wires are doing what and why, and how to test them. After this class you'll be able to identify and isolate problems and understand the parameters of any future additions. You'll also learn basic code standards for residential electric. You'll get an introduction to your electrical panel, it's circuits and their amperage load capacity and limitations. MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I've been a General Contractor for 15 years. I have extensive knowledge concerning all aspects of remodeling, rehabbing, and renovating homes in the St. Louis area. I understand that some things can seem daunting and even worrisome but I hope to offer information that will allow you to take on some of the smaller projects yourself and not be overwhelmed. This is a the first of several basic home DYI classes I plan to offer.
