This will be an introductory course, in which users will learn the basics of Windows 8. Such topics being covered will include opening and closing programs, shutting down your computer, installing new software, creating a Microsoft account and downloading Apps, using the Start Screen, Charms, creating shortcuts, using Internet Explorer, the File Explorer, and much more. From this class, you will certainly leave feeling more comfortable about using your new Windows 8 computer. Individual attention will be given, as using your computer is an individual experience!

My name is Joey and I work full time as an in-home computer repair person for the Geek Squad. I spend much of my time in the homes of average people showing them how to use their new computers, and so it only makes sense that I continue to share my knowledge. I have a great enthusiasm for today's technology and I truly believe that if you learn how to use it, you will become comfortable with it, and perhaps you can share in my enthusiasm.
