Celebrate winter in the Loop January 17, 2015 the Saturday festivities are free and include live ice carving demonstrations with a chainsaw, ice slides for children, human dog sled races, 5k & 10k frozen buns runs, putt-putt pub crawl, and yo-yo freestyles to music!
For those wanting to sign-up for the yo-yo class check out videos of beginner tricks posted on yoyoexpert.com and we recommend to start at the beginner level and see how far you can work your way up through the different tricks before you arrive. If not dont worry we will have trick lists and one-on-one yo-yo instructors on hand. Bring your yo-yo for the day or pick one up at Star Clipper Comics.
We will teach you as much as we can in a 2 hour class then practice at home and watch videos on-line. At each yo-yo class an instructor will assess your skill level based on the trick lists below and after 6 classes each student receives a free membership and can help teach other students. The following class will be on the Saturday of February 14, 12pm-2pm.

Christopher Ananda founded St.Louis yo-yo club, Moyo, and has been performing and teaching tricks at the City Museum from 2006-2012. Moyo then moved to Delmar's Star Clipper comics to reach a new audience. Ananda has promoted and organized the Annual Missouri State Yo-Yo Championships since 2007. Moyo represents the National Yo-Yo League in grooming players to compete on a state, regional, and national level.
