Event Overview
Did you know Tie-Dye T-Shirts and other fabrics, Milk Jugs, and Water Bottles can all be made into stylish bracelets? Why pay $5-$15 on a cool bracelet at a store, when you can use supplies just screaming not to be sent to the landfill!?!?
This class for all ages over 12, begins with instructions on how to make the 3 different types of bracelets. All material will be provided to allow each participant to make at least one of each kind. (Take-home-sacs will be provided for materials for unfinished projects with printed instructions, so you won't forget what to do when you get home!) The class will use provided art supplies to "Reuse and Remake" their one-of-a-kind bracelets while I give a short speech on recycling called "The 5 W's".
The class concludes with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere of chatting and crafting and saving the Earth.
I will even have some of my handmade art available for purchase if anyone is interested. (Holidays are just around the corner...one-of-a-kind gifts are perfect!)
Since this class will be held at Fallon's Bar and Grill, I highly suggest eating there before or after! The food is great, the bar is fun, a small game room, lots of TV's, and outside seating. The buffalo chicken wrap with their seasoned fries and their specialty, "funnel fries" are my favorites! And my kids beg to go there for the chicken bites!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I am “Stay-at-Home Mom Jack-of-all-Trades Picture Framer Business Owner Artist”. Or you can call me Kara.
I enjoy being resourceful and creative, so I am constantly busy with recycled art projects. My longest passion has been for Tie-Dye, especially on silk! I was on HGTV’s “That’s Clever”, several years ago. I actively participate in art shows in Missouri, Florida, and online.
I am the founder of The Styrofoam Recycling Initiative for St. Louis. I am raising awareness of the pros and cons of polystyrene and trash in general; showing the ways it can be recycled; and promoting the efforts of setting up a Styrofoam recycling program and/or facility in St. Louis.
