Event Overview
This is not your Grandmother's embroidery! Participants will learn basic embroidery stitches and will leave with a sampler that can be framed and/or displayed. The techniques learned can be used to create traditional embroidery or embellish other items. You will leave this class will all the skills needed to continue a larger piece on your own.
Stitches taught will include: french knot, running stitch, backstitch, crosstitch, satin stitch, and chain stitch. This class can be a great refresher course if you've done some sewing before or an introduction for a total beginner.
What to Bring
Bring special fabric you would like to do embroidery on, if you like. If not, I will provide fabric as well.

All ages welcome
What's Provided
I will provide embroidery hoops, embroidery thread, needles, scissors and inspiration.

Kami is a professional artist and teacher from St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Fontbonne University with degrees in Education, Drawing, and Fiber Arts. She works with processes that combine two-dimensional media with three-dimensional textures, such as silk screen, hand embroidery, and weaving.
