Event Overview

Have ever though about playing the snare drum? Do you want to learn how to read and play the basic rudiments for the snare drum. Well this class is for you! In this class you will learn how to read and play basic snare drum rudiments. By the time the class is over, you will have learned how to hold drum sticks correctly in both hands, what quarter notes, quarter rest, eighth notes, time signature, repeat signs/measure, half notes, and dynamic signs are. This class is for ages 10 and up.

What to Bring

A pair of drum sticks and a drum pad.

Kalefonda has had a love for playing the snare drum since her youth. She has played the snare drum in the concert band throughout middle and high school. In basic training she was selected to played in the Drum & Bugle flight for the Air Force. She has experience and knowledge to teach anyone how to play and read the basic fundamental rudiments for the snare drum.
