Event Overview

This class provides a hands-on, in-depth experience for folks who would like to learn about Exotic Animals lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours. You and your guest(s) will be able to pet rays, sharks, doctor fish, turtles, and other marine life.

Participants interact with trainers in a guided walk through the regular museum areas, and also get a behind-the-scenes look at how the aquarium functions beyond the glass. Have Close Encounters of the Sharky Kind at the World Aquarium! On this tour, participants will assist aquarium staff with food preparation for our sharks and stingrays and will help feed these hungry beasts.

Tour participants will be presented with fascinating facts about shark biology and behavior, about ocean life, conservation issues, and the significance of sharks in the ocean food chain. This educational tour will focus on the 15 species of sharks on display at the World Aquarium.
