Event Overview

LA is a tough city when it comes to gardening, especially if you don't have a back yard.

This class will teach you how to bring that green thumb out to use!! You will learn how to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, spices and other plants in pots and improvised locations.

This class is for those that want to enjoy nature in their own home and for those that want to start planting and gaining the benefits of growing your own food.

Depending on the lushness of my garden we will make a salad at the end of class that we can all enjoy!!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Frederick Al-Hajj, was born on the island of Cyprus on the 8th of December 1986. His father Lebanese and his mother Armenian; culture, food, and music is a big part of what makes him who he is now. At the age of 6, he moved to Saudi Arabia where he lived there for 10 years and in 2002 immigrated to Canada. In Canada he received a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Music with a concentration in Sonic Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, ON. Currently, Freddie runs an independent music label based out of Los Angeles and Ottawa called Olystis Music & Productions and plays in an international touring band called Clepto. Music has always been his passion and second to that is gardening. This is his 6th growing season of veggies and other plants, with experience in growing in many different climates and terrain. Freddie wants to help people learn how to grow their own food and hopefully this will help people get closer to the Earth.
