Event Overview

What if you could turn fear into excitement?

One of my favorite improvisers, Dave Pasquesi, says: “Fear is just excitement without the breath.”
I find this to be 100 percent true.

And you’ll experience it in YogaPlay — a yoga + improv experience that shows you how to turn fear + procrastination into excitement, which unblocks your creativity, productivity and natural joy.

YogaPlay combines basic improv games with ancient yoga techniques to build up your presence muscles.

We’re not going for fancy here. This isn’t about complicated yoga poses or performance savvy. While the games + practices we explore in YogaPlay are simple, the effect is POWERFUL.

YogaPlay works like a mirror to show you where your blind spots are. Where you’re allowing fear to encroach on fun. Where negativity is blocking your natural creativity {and productivity, for that matter}. Where your planning + judging mind is squelching your ability to play.

You know you’re at play when there’s more energy, joy + freedom.

It can feel like a child fully engaged in a game of Tag, or like the quiet concentration of a cellist.
Either way, there is a blissful dissolution of ego when you’re in that state of play.

Come explore it in a safe, fun environment.

You don’t need any yoga or improv experience for YogaPlay. And if you’re seasoned in either, the combination will delight you — taking you deeper into your practice, and awakening your creativity.

One of the best workshops I have ever taken. It was an awesome combination of yoga and improv! We did a lot of warm up games, meditation, yoga poses and practiced how to become more present and calm our minds. We had some interactivity in small and large groups and also had some time to ourselves. There were some really key lessons (not only learning how to be present) like recognizing your thoughts, how to let go of things that don't serve you and exercises on just slight changes in our thinking have such a powerful impact.

I loved this class and would love to see it offered as a series!
