Event Overview
Fiber Arts are back in a big way; from weaving to macramé, these techniques are being revitalized and used for fun projects and fine art. Textile artist Erin Minckley Chlaghmo creates enormous tapestries from tiny loops of felt. Grab this opportunity to learn from a pro and join us for a fun filled night of constructing your own fabric wall hanging for your home or a gift. The techniques are really easy and there's no reason to be bashful about jumping in and creating a beautiful textile of your own. All supplies are provided. Bring your own bottle of wine and hangout with other like minded creative people.

Erin Minckley Chlaghmo is a professor of art at several local colleges and also teaches adult learners at Spudnik Press, Lillstreet Art Center and offers private lessons. Her art practice consists of sculptural tapestries and screen printed wallpaper. Her love of pattern and fabric paired with a passion for teaching drives her to work amongst a community of DIY and experienced artists alike. She is the mother of two boys and founder of Relativity Textiles. She received her MFA from SAIC in 2012.
