Have you ever wanted to learn how to Latin dance but have been scared by the intense teachers and people who make you feel bad about your dance moves?

If so, come to this relaxed, non-threatening beginner dance class where you will learn the basics of merengue which include some fun moves that will impress your friends. Get ready to dance with super fun Chicago people. In this class you will learn moves such as "The Giggle", "The Crazy Sombrero", and "Shake Hello".

Anyone can learn this dance and guys it is a great way to impress the ladies.

Minimum age

All ages welcome

Prerequisites

This class is for singles as we will be changing partners throughout the night.

Josh Penley

Josh is a Middle School teacher in Chicago. He loves to teach and loves to dance. He has been teaching Latin Dance for 6 years in all types of settings and will do his best to make sure you learn something and have fun doing it. He loves teaching Latin dance because it can be danced to all types of music, especially Merengue is relatively easy because it is not based on steps it is based on moving your hips.

What a great introduction to latin dance! This would be a great date night class, but I went into the class without a partner and had a GREAT time. Great teachers, fun moves, and a very low key, fun night. I'll definitely be looking for classes from them in the future.

This class was SO MUCH FUN! Even though my fiance and I have never danced at all, the teachers were very patient and helpful. By the end, he had me spinning!! Can't wait to take another class.
