Event Overview
Come join us for a fun night of painting! Together we will learn the process of transferring an image and use it create a one-of-a-kind portrait. Why paint something random or just like everyone else when you can paint something meaningful and unique!?! These custom portraits make the perfect gifts for your friends and family. Bring the whole family and everyone can make their own unique portrait to hang in your home!
Get Creative, get wild, and most of all have fun! Don't worry if you can't draw or paint! No skill necessary! I will have plenty of materials and ideas to help jump start your creativity.
What to Bring
Each person is required to bring an 8x11 (black and white ink is fine) paper print out of the person you are painting. The size of the photo will be the exact same size in your painting so zoom in and crop get a clear large image. (see images)

What's Provided
I will provide painting materials.(canvas, brushes, paint and aprons)

Hello!
I am a certified art teacher and and visual artist. I love making art accessible and fun for all!
I have been teaching art for six years for Chicago Public Schools and have been an artist all my life! I am primarily a textiles/ fibers artist. I attended Undergraduate and Graduate school at the Maryland Institute College of art. I will be attending Cranbrook Academy of Art in the Fall. I have lived in Chicago for the past six years and will be sad to leave my home, but am excited about the future!
