Event Overview

This is a fun planter that allows you to plant lilies for mid-season glamour in the garden. The "instant gratification" comes from the spring annuals and forced bulbs that dress up the top of the lily pot. Enjoy the beautiful spring display of pansies, daffodils, hyacinths, Johnny jump-ups and ivy while the lilies are rooting and sprouting down below. When the weather warms up in early June and the cool season spring plants stop blooming, their leaves act like a ground cover and as the Dutch bulb growers say, "the stems and leaves provide shoes and socks for the naked ankles of the lilies". Get two seasons of enjoyment from this workshop. The planter, the potting soil, all plants, fertilizers, and instructions will be provided. Have a fun morning creating a gorgeous planter that you will be able to reply, "I made it myself" when your friends and neighbors ask, "Where did you get that beautiful planter?"
