Event Overview

Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts that have alcohol or vinegar as the solvent. Tinctures can be used to treat pain, provide energy, reduce anxiety, improve mood, fight viruses and bacteria, and much more. They are safe and affordable forms of medicine that improve overall health and wellness. Join us to talk, learn, create, and heal!

Start your afternoon sipping medicinal teas and leave with your own customized herbal medicine in this laid back yet informative workshop.

-Class will begin with sampling of a medicinal tea alongside a lecture on herbalism and tincture making. All steps of the tincturing process will be demonstrated, and an informative zine with space for note taking and recipes will be provided.
-Make your own medicine! Get familiar with a variety of herbs by creating your personal herbal blend, uniquely tailored to your specific needs. You will leave with a 4oz jar of medicine that will last for months of use and have up to three years of shelf life!
-Wind down with Q & A, leave with recipe ideas for future tinctures, and a working knowledge of the medicinal properties of herbs.

It was an okay class. Definitely thought it was interesting, but I am not sure how experienced and knowledgeable the teacher was. the session was very unstructured and only lasted for about 45 minutes (after starting late). Not mad about the money I spent, but also will not return again. You can probably find more information online yourself!

    From Teacher:

Thanks for coming Kayla, I hope within the structure and information shared in the class you were able to learn something and are excited about your tincture blend. The workshop was designed to primarily give you an opportunity to work with a tincturing technique, but you're right, theres so much more to explore in herbalism :)
