Join us as we paddle our way down the South Branch of the Chicago River while the sun sets! Each participant decides for her/himself whether to enjoy a leisurely pace through Chicago’s magnificent architecture or to go for a full arm burn to offset last weekend’s excesses! Whether you treat the trip as a workout or simply an outing, this is a great way to learn to paddle, improve your kayaking skills, and enjoy the friendly fun of paddling with others.
Kayaking uses the muscles of your torso, arms, shoulders and abdomen – all the major upper body muscle groups – and provides the sustained exercise necessary to really burn calories and improve fitness. Paddling is a non-impact sport that you can enjoy for life. Come out with us for a beautiful ride!

What to Bring
Bring water-friendly clothing and shoes. Blue jeans not recommended. Bring electronics at your own risk.

Prerequisites
No prior experience needed! Come ready to learn and practice! Weight limit for a single kayak is 275 lbs (approx.) and 450 lbs (approx.) for a double kayak.
What's Provided
Price per person includes single or double kayak, life vest, paddle, guide(s), paddling lesson, dry bags, sunscreen
Custom Cancellation Policy
48-hour cancellation policy for a refund and a 24-hour policy for rescheduling. All tours are subject to postponement or cancellation due to weather or low registration. We offer complimentary rescheduling or a refund if your tour is canceled by us.

Allison K.Reviewed on 06/19/17This is such a fun class and a unique way to see Chicago. We've all been downtown but you get to see the beautiful architecture and newly renovated Riverwalk from the water. I would definitely recommend the Sunset Paddle ride for a fun night!

The sunset paddle is a nice experience (as nice as you can get on the disgusting Chicago river but I digress!). The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There was always a staff member at the back of the group to ensure that nobody was left behind. You don't need to have any previous kayaking experience to enjoy this class. There's some instruction at the beginning but it's easy to get the hang of it. This class is a fun way to get active and be outdoors.
