MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Bughouse Theater, home of Hogwash, is devoted to fostering appreciation of the arts, the artistic growth of our members, and facilitating collaboration of diverse artists across all media and disciplines. Bughouse Theater is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2007.
Hogwash is an improvised children’s show full of music, art, laughs, and Audience participation. At the start of the show, kids help pick costumes for the characters and choose a location for their improvised tale. As the story unfolds, graphic artists construct props, build scenery, modify costumes, and improvise an environment as unique as the story itself. Musicians provide an improvised score and the actors sing songs created on the spot! Kids actively participate by throwing out twists and turns in the plot, becoming characters in the story, and assisting the players whenever possible.
