Event Overview

Since its inception, Fonseca Martial Arts' (FMA) mission has been to discover the champion within each individual through forging a strong mind, body and spirit. In our ongoing effort to make a difference in people’s lives, FMA will host a charitable event on Saturday, May 7th at the Athletico Center in Northbrook.

Fonseca Martial Arts will provide two Anti-Bullying Workshops, lead by John Fonseca, one of the most decorated karate instructors in the United States. The first workshop will be 10:30 am - 12:00 pm for children ages 6-9 and the second will be 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm for those 10 and older. The workshops will teach kids smart interventions, ways to de-escalate, diffuse fights and, most importantly, prevent the sense of defeat and intimidation kids can feel in these situations.

There will be a $25 fee to participate, and all proceeds will benefit Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA).

Please sign up for the correct age group:
10:30-12 pm; ages 6-9
