Come join the discussion on how to redirect your child, maintain a limit, and keep your sanity.
In this session, strategies will be introduced to help you be emotionally responsive to your child while still setting appropriate behavior boundaries. Learn how to transform frustrating misbehaviors into opportunities for connection, increased happiness and resilience (for everyone!)
This lecture will include:
-Practical tools that can be applied immediately
-Classroom anecdotes that illustrate these strategies
-A question and answer period
This lecture will take place in a classroom at Park West Cooperative Nursery School. Children are welcome.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Jane is now in her 16th year as Director and 27th as a staff member at Park West Cooperative Nursery School. Previous to becoming Director, Jane taught at Park West for 11 years. Jane is often a guest lecturer and consultant at local universities, parent groups, and nursery schools. She has been an exhibit advisor for the Chicago Children’s Museum, a candidate observer and evaluator for the Kohl Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education, a presenter at local and national conferences, and adjunct faculty at University of Illinois, Chicago, Graduate School of Education, lecturing on Piaget and Vygotsky. Jane has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
