Event Overview
Learn how to use a laser cutter to cut, etch, and engrave designs in a variety of materials up to 24" x 12" and up to 1/2" thick in this safety and orientation class.
In this class Dabblers will learn the basics of laser cutting using materials such as wood, acrylic, paper, cardboard, fabric, leather, and much more. Prior to a demo on the laser, you'll learn how to create digital files that meet the laser cutter's criteria for cutting and laser safety. Each Dabbler will leave with a small item that has been created during the class
You will learn the entire process of laser cutting, from start to finish, along with safety skills and different laser cutting techniques.

Chris has been producing spectacular and well-crafted items using laser cutters for more than five years. He has a BFA from Harrington College of Design, and his specialties include laser arts, woodworking, photography, communication design and more. Chris owns 345 North, an event and workshop space in River West.
