Event Overview

Welcome to our Beautiful Bag workshop series. Your booking includes two sessions to complete your project. The first is an evening prep night on the Friday before the workshop. For this month, the first session is 2 hrs on May 17th from 7 PM to 9 PM when you’ll be selecting your pattern and leather and precutting pockets and selecting hardware. Then you'll return on Sunday, May 19th from 10 AM to 4 PM to complete your project.

We have several designs to work from with many details to customize and modify depending on your creativity and taste. We will have patterns to follow, but you can submit your own for approval a week before class begins.

All materials, hardware, and use of tools are included in the tuition. Some materials fee may apply if submitting a new design.

All materials provided for standard designs. An additional material fee may be incurred with some custom designs.

Sara began shoemaking and has been working with leather since 1974. She taught Tammy Stams who was the former instructor for previous Dabble classes. She founded the Chicago School of Shoemaking in 2011. Her other interests include biking, reading, making music and getting together with friends and family.
