Event Overview

In this class students will learn the basics of traditional Shaolin style kung fu from Master Jing Chao Wu. Introduction to Kung Fu is a full body workout that encompasses strength, speed, balance, and focus training. Dabblers will begin class with a warm up and stretching, to be followed by an introduction to the punches, kicks, and stances that are the foundations of kung fu. Student's will put their new knowledge to use by beginning the 5 Motion Stance(Wubu Quan) form that brings the basics together into a full routine.

What to Bring

Comfortable clothes, socks, and water(optional)

Master Jing Chao Wu is recognized by the International Wudao Associoation as an official Modern Wushu 7th Degree Black Belt, an International First Degree Wushu Judge, and an International First Degree Wushu Coach. He has competed at the state, national, and international level winning numerous awards including 1st place in Straight Sword at the All-China Wushu Forms Championship in 2004, 1st place in Long Fist in 2008, and 1st Place in Spear in 2008. In 2007 Master Wu created a unique Nine Section Whip wushu form that significantly contributed to the development of the weapon’s practice.
