Event Overview

An endless stream of information from buses to billboards to smartphones floods the mind everyday. The 21st century has created a lifestyle of constant distractions that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and lost. A little vacation is all we need, right? Meditation creates a relaxed, focused, and clear life you don't need a vacation from. Meditation is simply a vacation for your mind. It is also used to deepen the understanding of oneself, one’s life, and one’s purpose. There's a reason why meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and is referenced in texts from all over the world.  However, meditation does not have to be practiced in lotus pose, in complete silence, or in absolute solitude. Quite the opposite! Meditation allows you to be anchored and focused in the present moment, as it continues to change throughout your day.

Learn to integrate peace into your thought processes and day-to-day life through mindfulness practicies and techniques. Harness the powerful and uplifting energies that come along with meditation in a group setting. Absolutely no experience required, just an open heart and mind!

Class topics include:
- Mind vs. Consciousness
- Meditation / Escaping the mind
- Awareness of the Body, Breath, and Mind
- Applied day-to-day meditation

We will practice a few techniques as well as hold discussions throughout the duration of the class. Chairs, pillows, and mats will be available.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Andrew Radja began exploring meditation and metaphysical arts seven years ago when he was confronted with life's biggest questions:

Who am I? What am I doing here? What is my purpose? Who/What is God?

Having graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Andrew applied his analytical tactics to better understand the mind and the art of meditation. Through his own self-exploration and independent studies, Andrew has been helping others find inner peace and happiness since 2011.
