Mosaic Stepping Stone Workshop
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
In this class, we will be making a reverse-cast stepping stone. This is a technique that allows you to arrange your design at your leisure and then when it is all ready the concrete mix goes on top. It is a really good strategy to use if you want to make stepping stones with children or any kind of group, as you can have them make their designs without having contact with concrete.
I will provide everything you need like the concrete mix, molds, assorted mosaic tile, glass and mirror. You will bring your creativity and also anything you would like to add to your piece like beads, keys, artifacts, etc.
The stones need to rest overnight. We will arrange for you to pick them up later or for me to drop your stepping stone off, depending on where you live.
All necessary materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring personal keepsakes you would like to embed like broken china, keys, junk jewelry, small toys, etc.
All ages welcome
Everything will be provided. We have heart and circle molds to choose from. You can bring a different cake-size mold if you want to use it.

My friend Corinne and I produced a crafty blog for many years called "Smallworldland." We haven't been updating much lately, but there are hundreds of adorable projects on there featuring miniatures, paper crafts, sewing and more. http://smallworldland.blogspot.com/ I taught arts and crafts for ten years as the owner of the Ukrainian Village Children's Center. I have taught classes to adults and children in soap making, candle making, bath bombs, mosaic tile stepping stones and more.
