Event Overview

Hands on class will show you how to make your very own photograph directly on wood!! Great gift idea for anyone and nice vintage looking decor for your home, office, anywhere :-)

You will be provided wood block 6in x 6 in to transfer your photo into the grain of the wood. You'll learn the needed steps to transfer the ink of the image onto the wood and remove the paper remnants.

All knots and grain of the wood will be seen through the light parts of the photograph for a truly unique and one of a kind photo block. You will seal the photo into the wood using gel medium and paint the sides.

The steps of the process are pretty simple which allows this class to be kid friendly as well. You will leave with the confidence and knowledge to execute the complete process on your own.

This is a two-step process:

Step 1: You will email your photo to Alicia when you signup, because 24 hrs drying time is needed for this step one. photos due 1 week before class starts. ALICIALONDOSART@GMAIL.COM
Step 2: When you arrive, your photo will be attached to the wood block ready for you to continue with the process and create your photo wood block art!

Note: Masks are NOT required as we will be drinking while creating our wood block art and painting the sides :-) if you feel more confortable wearing a mask, please do so.

What to Bring

Email your photo to ALICIALONDOSART@GMAIL.COM when signing up so it can be prepped on the wood block. Feel free to bring BYOB and any small foods items you like.
