The Core Program is IMPACT Chicago's most intensive program, allowing women to gain the most self-defense training in the shortest amount of time.
Training progresses from distinguishing harmless and dangerous behavior to verbal boundary setting to responses to a physical assault. Women learn and drill effective awareness, verbal, and physical techniques and then practice using their voices, manage their adrenaline, project calmness, make moment-by-moment decisions, and deliver strikes and kicks with full-force, just as they would need to do in an actual attack. By the end of the Core Program, women have repeatedly used their skills to assess danger, set boundaries, and respond effectively to verbal and physical attacks.
This class is for women 18 and over. Must be present through all 3 days of the program.
