Event Overview

Our 6-week sewing class is perfect for first time sewers or sewists simply looking to sharpen their skills. We'll meet every Monday or Wednesday for six weeks (depending on which date you sign up for) and work on the 1st project for the first 3 classes and a 2nd project for the final 3 classes.

Beginners will learn basic sewing skills like how to thread a sewing machine, stitch selections, basic measurements, sewing notions, sewing machine troubleshooting, and more! You bring the project you want to work on and we complete it . Classes are taught as an open studio. Everyone is working on there own unique project. You can expect you complete two unique projects depending on the complexity of your project.

Intermediate/Experienced sewers will learn more advanced skills like pattern making, tailoring & fit, alterations, fashion draping, and more! Anastasia can match any skill level and is always willing to let you in on a few of her sewing secrets. 

Depending on the complexity of the garment and previous sewing experience, a sewing student can complete multiple projects by the end of the 6-week class. 

Students may bring their own sewing machine or use an in-house machine.

What to Bring

You can bring your own mchine to learn on or use one of ours. You will be required to bring the project that you would like to work on. So a pattern,fabric and any other notions you will need to complete it . Just let us know if you have questions.

We have the basics = machines,scissors,seam rippers, rulers, chalk, etc.
