Introduction to Tai Chi

Feeling a bit frayed around the edges? These days, who isn't, right? Good news though, we've all got an off switch!
We'll start off with guided sitting meditation then transition to some gentle tai chi, breath and body work, which coordinates breath and body for total reinvigoration and nice peaceful glow. Qigong exercises are fun – You’ll feel better and notice the difference the very first time you try them. They're also ideal for those suffering from illness, trauma, accident and those recovering from surgery. Qigong can also benefit those with chronic disorders like diabetes, hyper-tension, asthma, fibromyalgia, arthritis and depression. In fact, one of my students just cut her blood pressure medication in HALF after a few months of practice!
You'll learn that uniting body and mind not only allows relaxation but can help you discover your best self, tap into the energy that comes from knowing who you are and what you need to be doing in this life.
Just wear comfortable clothing. Light on the perfume or colognes please.
All ages welcome

Hillary Johnson has been studying Yang 24-Form taiji, qigong and meditation, since 2005 under Master Ji Ru, abbot of the Mid-America Buddhist Association. She's taught for the City of Chicago in Millennium Park, Midtown Athletic Club and the Chicago Chinese Cultural Institute. She also teaches in Little Village.
LOVED Hillary's Qi Gong class. We talked about life, mindfulness, meditated, then did Qi Gong. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor!
