Event Overview

Health and wellness is a vital aspect of our lives, now more than ever. As restrictions are relaxed and we begin to be able to congregate again, our focus is on getting trainers back to business and getting YOU healthy. STRENGTH IN THE CITY has partnered with three great local instructors, James Towns, Elise Pfister, Jordan Borkan of LifeStart and Piper Lorie Parker of Zen Yoga Garage to create a morning of wellness encouraging fitness, mental health and socialization while maintaining local mandated guidelines.

Join us on Saturday, October 10th, at Lakefront Greens on Theater on the Lake with a One STRENGTH HIIT and Yoga class benefitting Chicago's Next Program. 100% of the proceeds for these classes will be benefitting our STRENGTH IN THE CITY Foundation, SRV Foundation and un·cooked Chicago's Next Program.

All you need is a water bottle and a mask to wear as you approach the class and your own mat. We will provide everything else. All participants will receive a gift bag from our sponsors and partners.

One STRENGTH HIIT + Yoga Schedule:

9 am -9:45 am - HIIT led by James Towns & Elise Pfister

10:15 am - 11 am - Yoga led by Jordan Borkan

11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Flow Burn by Piper Lorie Parker of Zen Yoga Garage

The class will be limited to 50 participants, spaced 6 feet apart. A brief wellness check will be conducted on site prior to entrance to the class and participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. If you are feeling under the weather, please stay home and we will catch you at our next event!

ABOUT CHICAGO's NEXT Program:

Chicago's Next believes that in order to transform a community, you must start by transforming the lives of the children within it. Chicago's Next is a mentorship enrichment program + community center designed to foster development, confidence and long-term potential for youth in underserved communities.

Each child in our program will have the opportunity to learn from and develop relationships with various mentors, along with their own personal mentor, who will be carefully matched to them based upon their own aspirations and unique learning style. The mentor will work together with their mentee to outline the child's goals and steps to take to achieve them.

Through genuine human connection and exposure to experiences and careers outside of their current narrative, each child will learn to develop both hard and soft skills, be inspired to chase their goals, and transform their lives.
