Event Overview
Join Chicago Futsal Academy for our signature Paint 'n' Play program! This class will be taught by our Soccer Monster coach, Mallory Phillips, a graduate of the Savannah College of Art Design. A talented artist, soccer player, and coach, Mallory will guide the children as they discover and experiment with various types of media like watercolors, tempera paint, and drawing materials. Every class will provide one hour of soccer coaching instruction coupled with one hour of art class.
This is a four-week session every Wednesday from 10:30 to 12:30 pm starting July 13. Ages 3 to 5 years. Prorated rates are available for late signups
Each week we will present a different theme!
Week 1 (7/13): Favorite Foods
Kids will draw their favorite foods while helpers assist in writing up recipe instructions for the foods. The recipe results can be quite hilarious. Who knew making pizza involved a frying pan?
Week 2 (7/20): Potato Art Prints
Kids make their very own potato stamps by dipping a half of a potato into paint. This class will also teach about color mixing!
Week 3 (7/27): Fish Bowl Art & Finding Dory
Kids will have a great time creating vibrant paper plate fish bowls with crayons and watercolors.
Week 4 (8/3): The Reggio Emilia Self-Portraits
We will take a photo of each child, then they are invited to find shapes in their portrait. It is interesting to see each child's unique approach to this exercise - truly a one-of-a-kind project!
