Event Overview

If you already have a blog, but are wanting to grow your readership and refine your purpose, this class is for you.

In Blogging 201: Building Your Brand, we will be discussing the basics of branding as it specifically relates to blogging, including discussions of your brand promise, your blog design, and your social media engagements. Branding is such an important aspect of blogging, and is often overlooked by beginners.

People who have already started their blogs, who have a basic understanding of growing a readership through content creation and social media, and who value blogging intentionally and in a purposeful, authentic community will benefit greatly from this class. I will also leave time during the class to go around to each student and discuss branding with them, as it relates to their specific blog.

Blogging is a unique and potential-filled way to grow your business, expand your writing portfolio, and engage in an intentional online community, but without a clear idea of your brand, it can easily become overwhelming. Students will leave this class with a clear idea of what branding means in the blogging world, what the brand they want to reach for is, and how to integrate their brand promise into different aspects of their blogging life.

Prerequisites

Students are required to have taken my Blogging 101 class or have received prior approval from me. They should already have a published blog, and have a knowledge of basic social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Please email me if you have any questions.
