Event Overview
This is a fun, casual class explaining and demonstrating how light, shade, shadow and gradation give volume and mass to basic objects. These basic principles can then be applied to almost anything you want to draw, paint or render. These effects will be observable and laws of nature explained with objects in class. In addition, we will learn the basics of perspective drawing to accurately depict these objects in space. This will also include more demonstrations and real world observable examples and show you how to "push reality". We will work with simple paper, tissue overlays, pencil and crayons (provided) or you can bring whatever materials or media you like to work with. Other than that, just bring a smile and a great attitude because you will have fun!
