Event Overview

There has always been a certain fascination with sushi plates by people, some that don’t even like sushi. They are always gorgeous glass colors, some with decoration, some without – and they seem to have an almost sexy curve to them.

This class will give you the opportunity to make your own beautiful glass 5”x9” sushi dish, along with the small soy sauce cup to go with it. We have tons of gorgeous colors to choose from and you'll be able to decorate as you wish. And don't worry, these plates are great for EVERYTHING not just sushi! You will need to come back at a later date to pick up your piece after firings.

There's nothing like the qualities that glass can provide as an art medium and she enjoys teaching her students how to be creative and have fun while working with such an amazing medium. Her students rave about how fun the atmosphere is and how much they want to bring friends back and play.

Loved this class! You could be very creative with all the options provided but the setup of the class doesn't require that you have to get too technical. I want to take it again so I can keep making these to give as gifts.

After you've completed the course, it takes about a week for it to be "fired" (if that's the right term) so don't plan on having the plate immediately after it's finished.

As of March 2015, there is some heavy construction going on in the area where the studio is located so give yourself a little extra time to navigate around it to get to the studio. (Which is like a wonderland of color once you arrive! :)
