Event Overview
“I love those earrings; where did you get them?” the fashionably savvy lady asked in anticipation.
“I made them myself!” I exclaimed.
In this class, you will learn the basics of various metalsmith tools and techniques to create your own flashy pair of earrings from raw materials. You will gain an understanding of texturing, sawing, drilling, hammering, finishing, and applying color to the metal. After this class, you will leave with an understanding and technique of metalsmith tool usage as well as your own unique pair of fashionable metal earrings. This class may also inspire you to continue and advance your skills to break into the world of jewelry making and metalsmithing or simply continue to make more earrings. This is a beginner class and no prior experience is necessary

In that time, she has gained a lot of skills and techniques. She enjoys teaching people who like to express their artistic abilities with the use of hand tools to make jewelry and other items made out of metal. Learning the art of metalsmithng can be a bit intimating, but she will introduce it in a non-frightening way so that you can gain confidence just as she did.

Cinda really knows her craft. What a fascinating class. I had no idea all the steps that went into making these earrings. We sawed the metal into shapes, filed and sanded, used a drill press, hammered and stamped a design, assembled all the pieces together. I am so proud of what I accomplished. I learned so much and had such a great time.
