Event Overview
Mosaic:
Art consisting of a design made of pieces of colored stone, tile, or glass.
We are Mike Squared Mosaics. Mosaics by Two Guys Named Mike.
Tile Masters Mike J. and Mike C.
Ever wonder what it would be like to create your own version of paradise? You can with Mosaic. Indoors or outdoors you can turn the bland and un-inspiring into colorful eye candy and texture that invites touch.
Mike J. and Mike C. will provide all the tile, the tools to cut and adhere each piece safely, and most importantly, the 8"x 8" square bases that will eventually become your own original small work of Mosaic art.
Singles, couples, families, friends, and groups, of up to 8 per workshop are encouraged to sign up.
Each workshop is a 4 hour session of colorful creativity, fun conversation, music, and relaxation.
Tile and stone. Pottery. Re-purposed plates and china. Glass pieces and almost anything perceived as secondhand or throw away may become a part of your new Mosaic menu.
Making Mosaics can be some of the least expensive of the Mixed Media arts you will ever learn. By the end of your session you will be fanatic to Mosaic anything that doesn't move or breathe.
What to Bring
In previous classes students have brought food, including appetizers, desserts, and drink, including wine. Of course not a requirement by Mike Squared, but if it increases your creativity then go for it!

We create our own, “Specialty Tile”, so you won’t see them anywhere else but in our own Mosaics.
Our custom tile includes Insects. Birds. Florals, Fauna, Sea Life, Regional References, and much more.
Cody and I will integrate almost everything into the murals.
Anything perceived as second-hand or throw away may become a part of our Mosaic menu.
Our Mosaics spark interest from a distance or up close.

It's very laid back, and you're allowed to go at your own pace, and Mike is so will to help accommodate whatever creative/crazy idea you want to implement into your piece.
