This all day hands-on workshop will familiarize you with the information and techniques you'll need to prep hair and apply a special effects makeup bald cap for film, TV, theatre, and media. You will also learn how to make your own special FX bald caps from scratch!
Bald caps are a critical component to many special effects makeups and their proper preparation and application can make or break your makeup so make sure it's done right!
You'll never have to shave your head again!

Todd Debreceni is an internationally known makeup effects designer and educator who started his career with Ted Turner at TBS in Atlanta, GA. Todd has worked for Cannon Films, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and 20th Century Fox Television. Film and television credits include Contact; Batman and Robin; My Favorite Martian; Captain Phillips; Die Hard II; Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and JAG. He has created makeup effects, special effects and props for regional stage productions including Shrek; Spamalot; Man of La Mancha; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; Young Frankenstein; Elephant Man; and Batboy: The Musical. Todd is the recipient of a 1992 Los Angeles Drama Critics Award, and several other design awards. One of his zombie makeups was featured in the Season 4 premiere of The Walking Dead. Todd literally wrote the book on special makeup effects; the 2nd edition of his highly acclaimed book is called Special Makeup Effects for Stage and Screen (Focal Press, 2013).
