Do you hear that?
That's the sound of your destiny calling. From a young age you knew you were special. Poised for greatness. Super-natural, even. And you chose to surround yourself with books, movies and imaginative play sessions filled with much the same.
That's where your love for all things mythical was born. You loved wizards, dragons and centaurs. And at the top of the sequined, mythical kingdom? The mighty, magic unicorn!
This Dabble class is a lesson on the origins of the unicorn. We'll walk through a series of fairytails and historical documents tracking this majestic beast-- from its earliest days of creation, through its emergence in pop culture, to it's "neighday" as Lisa Frank staple and beyond.
Then we'll discuss the future of the unicorn, determining where the fate lies for this horned god-among-horse, and ways we can ensure its legend lives on for generations to come.

From a young age, Michael Kriss was fascinated by unicorns. Among friends, he has founded a yearly celebration called "Unicornicopia" which is held annually on the first Friday of March and is intended to help children of all ages to celebrate and learn the ways of the Unicorn.
Beyond his Unicorn pursuits, Michael is a practicing doctor and a fellow at the University of Colorado studying Gastroenterology. He enjoys music, hiking, biking and playing with his dog Lacey.
