Event Overview

In this class you will learn how to dip dye yarn to create a dip-dyed wallhanging. At the end of the class, you will be able to take home your dyed masterpiece to hang in your home!

We will begin by learning about materials and dye techniques. Then, we will dive into creating the wallhanging to your desired dimensions. Once the wallhanging is complete, you will be able to dye your piece to the color of your choosing using the dyes provided. After letting the piece sit to absorb the dye, we will dip the piece in a dye fixative so the color will remain intact. Once complete you will be able to take your piece home!

Hey y'all! I'm Becky, a Denver based artist by way of Greenville, SC. I'm a designer, painter, and fiber artist who never stops creating. Who knew the strangest gift I have ever received would turn into a new found love of fiber arts? I was gifted a large wooden walking stick when leaving my first ever job. At first I was offended, but after a few years it was too funny to throw away. I began thinking of a way I could repurpose it and I dreamt up a chunky wall hanging with dip-dyed ends. After completing it, I was hooked! I had to roll up my sleeves and explore more in the fiber world.

The DIY Dip Dye Wallhanging class was AMAZING and so fun!! Becky was an awesome teacher and a lot of fun to hang with for a couple hours while she taught us how to make a beautiful wall hanging. I can't wait to attend another one of Becky's workshops. I had a great time and left with the skills and knowledge to make another wallhanging of my own, at home! Thank you Becky!!
