Event Overview
In the Introduction to Woodturning course I take students who have never seen or stood in front of a lathe and I teach them the basic spindle and bowl cuts in a safe and controlled environment. We will start of with how to mount and turn spindle blanks that will then be used for beginner projects such as spinning tops, bottle stoppers and pens. Then we will move on to face plate work and explore the safe ways to make a wood bowl on the lathe. This is a great class for beginners and goes at a nice slow pace to get students started in Woodturning.
