Event Overview


Here at the shop, we have a a huge stash of reclaimed wood posts, chunks, boards, and halved aspen logs to create some super cool projects. In this one night workshop, you'll have a chance to use a drill press, hand drills, saws, sanders + more to create your one of a kind set of candle sticks. Novice + experienced woodworkers welcome. Think shop class, only fun. We'll provide the materials, tools + know how to help you create the perfect holiday center piece or gift. Beer, wine + snacks provided.

What's Provided

We"ll provide wood, sand paper, finishing wax, power + hand tools.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Delanie is the owner and program director at The Craftsman & Apprentice. She has a BFA in sculpture from Metro State and worked as an elementary school art teacher for ten years before opening the shop in 2014. She is a jack of all trades, making and teaching are her game.

    I think the word to sum up the class would be unprepared. It would have been nice to have all of the wood to pick from in 1 area. I didn't really care for my wood since it seemed like everything was picked over, not knowing there was more in the back to choose from. Lots of drill issues and dead batteries. For $40 I left with only 2 small pieces, not worth it in my opinion.

    Hey Darci! I appreciate your feedback and I agree. I felt badly about the drill issues. I would love to have you back for another workshop, our treat.
